Nagpur Training Center had been a vision of Amol's for several years. When Amol and Rachel moved to Nagpur in 2000 it was the first part of the ministry that they begin. In their own living room they had 4 students that first year and boarded them, taught them and trained them in church planting.

Nagpur Training Center has trained 175 students in the past 10 years, from 2000-2010, to go out into the unreached areas of India and plant churches.

Graduates of NTC are doing everything from planting churches in villages to having their own Bible Schools and training more young people in how to share the gospel.

At NTC we try to prepare our students as much as possible before going out into the harvest field. They receive training from BTCP- USA, AWANA, tailoring classes, a drama course, puppet making classes and self-sufficiency training. By the time they leave they have the training and tools they need to start an effective ministry.

Mission Statement
Nagpur Training Center- NTC is a nondenominational church planters training center designed to equip and train young men and women with an in depth knowledge of evangelism and church planting in a short amount of time; as to return them to the mission field to take on the ministry of reaching hearts of the people in their own culture. It is the desire of NTC to equip those who know to win those who don't.

NTC not only prepares the students for ministry, it starts them headed in the direction of self-sufficiency. We do not financially support our graduates as they go out into ministry. We instead encourage them to support themselves through small scale industries. NTC gives training for some small scale businesses to expose the students to some ideas and train them in a trade. These include candle making, soap making, marketing and selling their items, purses and textile crafts and much more. The men are trained and educated in farming, agriculture and animal business plans- since over 70% of Indians are farmers.

The young women are trained at our sewing school. The purpose of the school is to train the young women in a trade that they will use, at home, for their family, or as a business. The skill of sewing can be used anywhere since the majority of clothes in India are tailor made. By the end of the one year course the women will learn to clean and care for their machine, basic design and cutting technique, how to make traditional India clothes for women and children, and home basics like quilting, pillow covers, curtains, etc.

At the end of the one year Church Planters Course RUSA gives each man a bicycle as a gift with their graduation, to help take the gospel to unreached places. Each young woman receives a sewing machine, to support herself and her family.
The graduates also receives gifts worth a total of over $100:

  • A NIV Bible in language of choice $25 value
  • A complete set of their curriculum $30 value
  • Certificates of Theology from NTC
  • Certificate of Achievement from BTCP, who markets the curriculum
  • A bicycle or sewing machine $65 value

Every year NTC accepts a maximum of 25 students for the intense course. Each student pays a minimal fee, that is often a burden for them to pay. The fee for the year is less than what it costs to train a student for 1 month.

We need people to sponsor the students to make this possible. We ask $50 per month per student. This covers all the expenses of boarding and feeding them, teaching, materials and all other school related expenses. This is one of the most important ministries we do as it trains up people to take the gospel to India and does it in just 8 months. Every year 25 more young people go out and share the gospel in 25 new unreached areas.

Will you be a part of it?
